Hello! My name is Holly Wetmore-Kemeter.
This Web Quest is geared toward the 9th graders. Focusing on Bench Mark A , which is:
1. Explain ways in which selected Contemporary works of art relate to themes,issues and events in their context .
Established Goals:
1. Students will know when the Pop art Movement began.
2. Students will understand why the Pop art Movement began, and the themes that are used in Pop art, by the artists.
3. Students will be able to identify Pop art subjects, themes,styles, and techniques.
Assessment Evidence
Performance Tasks:
1. Taking on a role as curator, collector, exhibition crew, or publicity, and effectively participating in group activity.
2. Individual projects must reflect knowledge of Pop art styles and influences. Projects must meet the criteria established
in the Process part of Web Quest.
3. Students must be able to identify Pop art styles techniques and influences from advertising and culture.
Differentiation:
Although students are working in a group they are also working individually.
Roles
in group have related activities that are geared towards specific learning styles:
Visual,
Auditory,Kinesthetic, and Tactile.
This Web quest has both process
and product related activities.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Art Education from The Ohio State University.
My Hobbies, besides art, are:
Theatre, costume-making, hiking, reading, going to museums(all kinds) , festivals and movies. I would love to travel
abroad someday!
My favorite Pop Artist is Andy Warhol .
